This year, we’re pleased to welcome Johannes to the Chervò family. Born in Orange County, CA to an Indonesian Mother and a Dutch Father, Johannes lived his early life in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, China, England and the United States.
“Chervò is a brand that resonates with me. When I first saw and touched the different fabrics, I knew immediately it was top-quality. It’s innovative, chic and it cares about the environment. Also the people. It's a small knit family, everyone loves each other and that struck me, and made me fall in love with the brand. Chervò believes in enjoying life and being positive, and I gravitate towards those values too.”
His professional playing journey started in 2016 with a trip to the Asian Tour Qualifying school which enabled him to play in full-field events as well as the Asian Development Tour. Johannes not only won the order of merit on the Development Tour, but also finished in the top 60 on the Asian Tour with four top 10 finishes along the way. This resulted in him gaining his full playing rights for 2017.
After three years in Asia and a taste of success playing in dual ranking European Tour events, most notably a 4th at the Maybank and 2nd in the ISPS Handa Perth Open, Johannes now had aspirations on the next step of his dream; playing full-time in Europe.
Arguably the toughest test came next; a trip to the European Tour qualifying school in November 2019. There, in dramatic fashion moving from 114th after the first two days all the way up to a tie for 13th place following closing rounds of 67-67-66-66, he successfully earned his playing rights finishing inside the top 25 to secure a full card on his first attempt.
In 2020 Johannes just missed out on the R2D Finals with a 77th place finish, achieving five top 10’s en route. Ordinarily, Johannes would have been a European Tour Winner in any other season by three strokes, however with the new match play format at the Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Open means he is still awaiting his first win.
After a notable 2020 Rookie season, Johannes is raising the bar in 2021. In March he carded a -9 under course record setting round of 62 in the third round of the Magical Kenya Open at Karen Country Club in Nairobi.
Off the course, you’ll likely catch Johannes at his recently opened F45 Gym in College Station, TX, which he operates with his wife Angela.

Ben joined the Chervò family in 2020. Originally from Concord, Ontario, Canada, he grew up playing multiple sports including hockey, baseball and basketball.
"Switching to Chervò as my new clothing brand was an easy decision. At first, I was excited about the sharp, stylish look and the slim, athletic fit. Once I tried on the clothes, I fell in love. The fabrics felt so incredible that everything I tried on made me feel like I was getting ready for a photoshoot for the cover of a big golf magazine. I can swing so easily in all the warm and cold weather gear. No restrictions. So amazing!"
Ben competed on the golf team at Johnson and Wales University in Miami, before transferring to Florida Atlantic University to earn his degree.
Ben is five-foot 10 and 160 pounds so any idea about a professional career in hockey wasn’t likely because of his size so at the age of 16, Ben decided he wanted to be a professional golfer. Ben remembers, “I wasn’t growing. And every once in a while someone could catch me off guard and knock the snot out of me,” he said. “I was worried about getting hurt, and I was like, “I don’t think this is going to work anymore. I’ve got to find another sport.”
Ben competed on various mini tours for nearly five years before earning PGA Tour Canada (Mackenzie Tour) status in 2014. Two years later, Ben had earned status on the Korn Ferry Tour. In 2017, he produced a breakthrough year, with five top-10s and a win at the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper in Springfield, Missouri. He finished 10th on the money list to secure his first trip to the PGA Tour in 2017-2018. In two of his first three starts, Ben earned T7 and T8 finishes, rounding out the season with five Top 25s and two Top 10s, ranking 136th in the FedEx Cup Standings. In 54 total PGA Tour starts, Ben has earned two top 10’s and 7 top 25 finishes. Ben played 17 events on the Korn Ferry Tour in the Covid-shortened season and will continue as a member of the Korn Ferry Tour in 2021 as he works toward regaining full PGA Tour status. Ben is happily married to his amazing wife, Dr. Morgan Silverman and they have two boys, Jack & Connor. Ben lives and practices out of Jupiter, FL and New City, New York.
